The apps chosen were very impressive and mind-expanding.I was apprehensive as to my ability to navigate some areas of the program and succeed, but my confidence grew with each Thing.I have never blogged before, and I'm glad my first opportunity was such a wonderful experience. Thank you!

23 Mobile Things # 22

I use Apps Gone Free every day; oftentimes the first thing I do in the morning. There are a lot of productivity and gaming apps which I usually skip, but once in a while I check one out. I have found  many music and health related apps through Apps Gone Free. It is a great way to discover new and interesting apps.

23 Mobile Things # 21

My newest discovery is Note-A-Lator. It is so useful for musicians of all ages. It's fun to take a quiz and test your knowledge and musicianship. A great app to use if one is just starting to learn a musical instrument.

23 Mobile Things # 20

Word Warp reminds me of Boggle; a game I've played often. It's a good idea to take a break from the stresses of the world and play games.

23 Mobile Things # 19

MyGarden is the most useful app I've seen. I love talking about my garden, and now I have a place to share in a wider venue. I really like Spotify too. So much music to listen to.

23 Mobile Things # 18

I have been a loyal use of Fooducate for a long time. I use it every time I shop, and tell others about it whenever the subject of helathy eating comes up. I also use Itranslate when needed. TEDtalks is loaded with a wealth of subjects to learn about it. This is one of my favorite places to go.

23 Things # 17

I love these apps; so many to choose from. At first look, I'd want to explore Going Out, Explore Minnesota and Mpls Skyway. It is so much fun to discover new places, and to know how to get there.

23 Mobile Things #16

I would want to explore Audioboo. Knowing that something is simple to use is appealing. Also, three minutes of recording is often enough time to capture a special sound to listen to whenever you'd like.

23 Mobile Things # 15

I might use Visualize Free, but I don't know when. This does not seem applicable to me.

23 Mobile Things # 14

Even though six seconds doesn't seem very long, Vine appeals to me. I like the idea of capturing something that starts out as a germ of an idea, which then can grow because your brain has recorded it. Some of the best snapshots in my head are simply glimpses of something wonderful.

23 Mobile Things # 13

Educreations is the one for me. Using the whiteboard for tutorials and lessons is indispensible. What a great way to lay out the material and be able to add to it on the recordable whiteboard.

23 Mobile Things # 12

Free Books appeals to me. I love reading the classics. I also appreciate the options of highlighting or adding notes as I am reading.

23 Mobile Things # 11

Hennepin County Library mobile app is something I use all the time. Someone can tell me about a great book they are reading, and I can look it up immediately. Useful too for checking my account or reserving a book. Very helpful in finding out what is happening at other librairies in the area.

23 Mobile Things # 10

Snapchat would be my choice of these apps. Having control over who gets photos appeals to me. Also, the duration of  photo visibility is a plus.

23 Mobile Things # 9

Cam Me looks like fun and easiset to use. I've taken very few selfies, with most being deleted because of any number of flaws. I like the idea of being able to set the phone down for a selfie, or to even just wave. This app will help me preserve many special memories.

23 Mobile Things # 8

I like Cloze. It focuses on  people important to me. It would help me stay in contact more, especially with people farther away. No more "out of sight, out of mind". Cloze also seems to be the app I'd be most comfortable using.

23 Mobile Things # 7

Bitly looks the most user-friendly to me. I am always coming across interesting websites, but then forget what they were, or lose the piece of paper with the info. I could make a lot of discoveries with this app.

23 Mobile Things # 6

This is something that, while interesting, is not applicable to me at this time. I might use it for a spreadsheet in the future, but it depends on what I would need it for.

23 Mobile Things #5

I always seem to have lists and reminders with me; in my purse, in my pockets, in the car, on the kitchen counter, etc. I really like Remember the Milk app. It will be so easy to have with me and be able to check what I need to do, and, what I've already accomplished. I can see myself using this and never missing a task or appointment.

23 Mobile Things # 4

I can see where these apps can help one manage social information. It seems too much for me to keep up with. I'd rather read a magazine.

23 Mobile Things #3

The most useful app to me is the RedLaser. I already have something similar to this when I grocery shop, but it is limited to food. I have been looking for something else to be able to get more information on other products, especially to comparison shop. I will be able to put RedLaser to good use.

23 Mobile Things #2

Just finished Thing 2. What a wealth of fun and useful information to get more out of my phone. The tips and techniques for the various applications encourage me to search the web more and to share what I discover with co-workers. I am anxious for my next incoming call as I have added new alerts. I can also tweak my photos of Y & Y; the most photogenic granddogs in the world!

23 Mobile Things #1

I have completed Thing 1 and look foward to the next 22 Things. This learning experience will open new avenues to me whether I am assisiting patrons or furthering my own technical education.
